別府大分の要綱発表に、なんだか「ざわざわ」っと

きょう来年2月の別府大分毎日マラソンの大会要項が発表になりました。このブログのサブタイトルで「別府大分を目指す」とうたっているあこがれの大会です。

第60回の記念大会ですから、ある程度の参加資格の緩和があるのは予想されていましたが、実際に緩和された枠に自分が収まってみると、どうも複雑な気持ちです。

この春以来の練習不足でエントリーを見送ろうと思っていましたが、実際に発表になってみると、やっぱり胸がざわざわとします。最後のチャンスかもしれない。エントリーはしようか、と。

ぼくが該当するのは「カテゴリー2」です。日本陸連登録者で公認コースでマラソン3時間以内。今年2月の泉州国際のタイム(2時間56分23秒)でのエントリーになります。「カテゴリー2」の場合、エントリーすれば参加できるようです。

これで少しでも練習に向かう気持ちに火がついてくれればいいのですが。

むうさん、まずは別大カテゴリー２出走権獲得、おめでとうございます(笑)。サブスリーだって立派なタイムだと思います。むうさんの出走、楽しみです！実は１０月３日に走った別海町パイロットマラソン、５ｋｍごとの通過タイムがすべてキロ４分ペースを切るタイムで、４０ｋｍ２時間４０分もクリアしてゴールできたので、再来年の出場を目指そうと思ってたところでした(苦笑)。ま、もし出場することになれば、関門の心配はしなくて済むからいいかな(笑)。

2時間50分を切っての資格ではないから複雑でしょうが、念願の権利です。60回記念と共に祝福しましょう。
無理は禁物、できる範囲の最大限の努力をして、ワクワクしながらスタート地点に立ってください。

I had the full range of motion that the doctor expected. I don’t know if I went backwards or if I”m just not as far as I would like. I had TKR surgery 4 years ago in 2008. I have difficulty getting up from sitting and putting on my pants and getting out of a car. When I take a taxi, I try to sit up front. But even then, I have to pick up my left leg to get out of the taxi. I just can’t bend it enough. I tried riding a bicycle, but my left leg won’t bend enough to pedal all the way around. When I came to China, a doctor said that they normally do one knee and then the other later. I had both done at the same time. I was glad to “get it over with”, but I was terribly crippled at first. Does anyone know anything about the advantages and disadvantages of getting both done at the same time?

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
